Delta State at 33: Prince Akpo Abugo, EA Social Advocacy, Congratulates Governor Oborevwori

As Delta State commemorates 33 years of its creation, notable leaders and stakeholders have extended their congratulations to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, who has remained steadfast in steering the 9state towards prosperity and development. Among them is Prince Akpo Abugo, the Executive Assistant (EA) on Social Advocacy, who lauded the governor's leadership and vision during this milestone celebration.

Delta State, which was created on August 27, 1991, has witnessed tremendous growth in various sectors over the past three decades. Under the stewardship of Governor Oborevwori, the state continues to experience significant progress in infrastructure, human capital development, and economic growth. 


Prince Akpo Abugo the senior governor Aide noted that as  the state marks this anniversary, the governor’s MORE Agenda, focusing on Meaningful Development, Opportunities for All, Realistic Reforms, and Enhanced Peace and Security, is being recognized as a blueprint for continued success.

In his congratulatory message, Prince Akpo Abugo emphasized the importance of unity and inclusiveness in achieving sustainable growth. He praised Governor Oborevwori for his commitment to the welfare of the people and for ensuring that every part of the state benefits from his administration’s policies. According to Prince Abugo, the governor's inclusive governance approach has fostered a sense of belonging among Deltans, irrespective of their ethnic or political affiliations.

Speaking further, he said:

“Governor Oborevwori has demonstrated exceptional leadership, especially in promoting social cohesion and addressing the needs of the people. His efforts in health, education, and youth empowerment have positively impacted the lives of many in Delta State. As we celebrate 33 years of our state's creation, we also celebrate the achievements of his administration in fostering growth and ensuring that Delta State remains a beacon of hope and progress in Nigeria,”


Prince  Abugo   further commended the governor for his dedication to social advocacy, a crucial element in promoting transparency, good governance, and accountability which is the Hallmark of a good governance.




 Prince Abugo highlighted how Governor Oborevwori’s administration has consistently prioritized the needs of the marginalized and vulnerable populations in the state. He cited initiatives such as the Delta State Health Contributory Insurance Scheme, which recently saw the enrollment of 300 Urhobo women, as a testament to the governor’s commitment to the welfare of all Deltans.

As Delta State continues to navigate the challenges of modern governance, Prince Akpo Abugo expressed confidence in the ability of Governor Oborevwori to lead the state to greater heights. He called on all Deltans to remain united in their support for the administration and to contribute to the ongoing development efforts.
