PPAPAP Challenge Those Campaigning Against Tompolo ,Dennis Otuaro as Enemies of Ijaw Nation

By Wilson Macaulay

The Progressive Peace Ambassadors of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PPAPAP) have strongly condemned the ongoing campaign of misinformation and malicious attacks against High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, and the Chief Dennis Otuaro-led Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP), declaring such acts as a deliberate attempt to undermine the peace, security, and development of the Ijaw Nation.

In a statement signed by prominent ex-agitators and stakeholders from Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Edo States, the PPAPAP described the orchestrated smear campaign as the handiwork of enemies of progress who are bent on destabilizing the gains recorded in the Niger Delta through the leadership of Tompolo and Chief Dennis Otuaro.
A Calculated Attempt to Undermine the Ijaw Struggle
The group specifically called out Jude Gbaboyor, who has consistently used his social media platforms, particularly Facebook, to propagate falsehoods aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of the Ijaw people, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Ltd., and the Presidential Amnesty Program.
The PPAPAP emphasized that Tompolo and Dennis Otuaro have worked tirelessly to sustain peace and security in the Niger Delta, ensuring that the region remains stable for economic growth and sustainable development. The group noted that Tantita Security Services has been at the forefront of tackling crude oil theft, thereby boosting Nigeria’s oil production and revenue.
“Those attacking Tompolo and Dennis Otuaro are simply working against the collective interest of the Ijaw Nation. It is unacceptable that someone who claims to be an Ijaw son will deliberately spread falsehoods to tarnish the reputation of leaders who have sacrificed so much for the emancipation of our people,”
The Press statement reads in part:
Tompolo’s Unwavering Commitment to the Niger Delta
The PPAPAP reaffirmed that Tompolo remains a symbol of peace, struggle, and liberation in the Niger Delta, whose role in securing the waterways and combating oil theft is critical to the region’s survival. His security outfit, Tantita Security Services, has recorded unprecedented successes in exposing and dismantling illegal oil bunkering operations, earning national and international recognition.
“Rather than supporting our leaders who have been selfless in their service to our people, some unscrupulous elements are bent on using lies and propaganda to divide us. These individuals must be exposed and resisted,” the group stated.
Chief Dennis Otuaro’s Leadership and the Transformation of the Amnesty Program
Similarly, the PPAPAP commended Chief Dennis Otuaro, the current Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Program (PAP), for his outstanding leadership and commitment to transforming the program for the benefit of ex-agitators and the entire Niger Delta.
Under his watch, the Amnesty Program has witnessed significant reforms, including enhanced vocational training, empowerment programs, and education opportunities for beneficiaries. His leadership has brought stability to the program, ensuring that its original objectives of reintegration and economic empowerment are upheld.
“It is disheartening that while Chief Dennis Otuaro is working tirelessly to ensure the Amnesty Program remains beneficial to Niger Deltans, some persons have chosen the path of sabotage and misinformation,” the statement further added.
Call to Action: Defending the Legacy of the Ijaw Nation
The PPAPAP urged all well-meaning Ijaw sons and daughters, as well as stakeholders in the Niger Delta, to rise and counter the spread of falsehoods by actively reporting all misleading social media posts and debunking the lies with facts.

The group also called on Facebook and other social media platforms to take down the offensive and false posts by Jude Gbaboyor, emphasizing that misinformation is a tool of destabilization that must not be allowed to thrive.
“We cannot sit back and allow one individual to destroy the legacies of our heroes. It is time to expose the enemies of the Ijaw Nation who are masquerading as concerned individuals but are, in reality, working to destabilize the peace we have fought so hard to achieve,” the statement read.
A United Front for Progress
The PPAPAP assured the Niger Delta people that they remain committed to promoting peace, unity, and development in the region. They warned that any attempt to tarnish the image of Tompolo, Tantita Security Services, and the Presidential Amnesty Program would be met with strong resistance.
“We will not allow detractors to derail the progress of the Ijaw Nation. The Niger Delta has come a long way, and we must continue to stand together in defense of our collective interests,” they concluded.
