APC Warri South Rallies Behind First Lady Oluremi Tinubu During Palace Visit By Wilson Macaulay

The Warri South Local Government Area chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared its total solidarity and support for Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, during her historic visit to the Palace of the Olu of Warri in Delta State.
The reception, held at the palace of His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, was a colourful display of culture, unity, and political goodwill, as party leaders, stakeholders, women groups, youths, and traditional chiefs gathered to welcome the First Lady to the ancient Warri Kingdom.
Leading the rally of party faithful was the Warri South APC Chairman, Hon. Richard Pessu, who described the visit as both symbolic and significant to the political and cultural landscape of the Niger Delta. He noted that the First Lady’s presence at the revered palace underscores the respect and recognition accorded to traditional institutions by the Federal Government.
“This visit is a clear demonstration of unity, inclusiveness, and respect for our heritage. On behalf of the APC family in Warri South, we proudly stand behind Her Excellency and commend her unwavering commitment to national development and women empowerment,” Pessu stated.
He praised Senator Tinubu’s advocacy programmes targeted at women, children, and vulnerable groups, emphasizing that her interventions align with the aspirations of grassroots communities across Delta State.
Hon. Pessu further reaffirmed the chapter’s support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing it as a transformative blueprint aimed at strengthening economic growth, social inclusion, and national cohesion.
The event witnessed vibrant cultural performances, traditional blessings, and royal pageantry, reflecting the pride and hospitality of the Itsekiri people. Political observers described the gathering as a strong statement of party unity and alignment with federal leadership.
Stakeholders at the event maintained that the First Lady’s palace visit would further cement collaboration between political leadership and traditional authorities in fostering peace and sustainable development in the region.
